Hummelstown, Pa. Wintering
Monty frequently visited his home town of New York City while wintering in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania circa 2012.
This photo was taken after his visit to an office on 33rd street. On this particular day of November eleventh, he spent time at top of the Empire State Building with a friend, in what turned out to be an extremely windy, and frigid morning.
Here, he is juxtaposed a bystander shortly after the Veterans Day parade that marched up fifth avenue.
The afternoon was spent visiting several department stores, and shopping for items such as hats, and scarves.
Eventually this led him to Harlem, where he was impressed with the lively vibes of the neighborhood, a contrast to his experiences there, in the seventies and eighties.
His final stop was the 188 Cuchifritos at 158 E 188th street in The Bronx, "A latin restaurant featured by Anthony Bourdain" where he mistakenly ordered two dozen orders of fried plantains with his main meal.
