December 2017;  One of the coldest weeks on record.

Monty at the Edison room in Manhattan with musician Joe Battaglia, "one of his favorite big band leaders" upon his arrival to a private event.

The dinner consisted of big band, jazz and vocal performances by local artists, with surf & turf  as a main course and Champagne.

The roads were blocked with holiday activities, and special access needed, which made it impossible for the limosine to reach the main doorway.

After an evening at the Edison room, a quick cab was secured in a typical city hustling fashion, leading to a warm ride to 25 East 77th Street, Madison Avenue, The Mark Hotel where he was a guest for several weeks.

Monty expressed his fondness for the restaurant bar at this location, stating that his best experience there was the staff. His only regret was not staying longer.

On the level, he often preffers the local mom and pop breakfast nooks around the corner on Madison ave.
